"OurNewSchool2017" Monroe-Shelton Catholic School (working title)
After a year of viability studies, the three diocesan schools: Saint Joseph in Shelton, Saint Jude in Monroe and Saint Lawrence in Shelton are coming together as one new academy located at Saint Lawrence Parish. We will bring together what is the best in all three schools to create a new academy. While OurNewSchool2017 does not have a name yet; we are confident in our identity. As part of the Diocese of Bridgeport Catholic School System, we create faith filled learning communities with parents, students, teachers and administrators who are all dedicated to fostering the development of young men and women spiritually, morally, intellectually and physically. We are three school communities uniting as one. We have a vision for a school community living the values of the Catholic faith and fostering a personal encounter with Jesus. Our academics will be second to none: infused with cutting edge technology, high school and university partnerships, and differentiated instruction to inspire students to reach their full potential.
